This cold storage was established in 1997 at Madanhati 18 KM away from Rajshahi City Corporation under assistance from the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited. The five storied building having a floor space of 30000 sft on each floor it is equipped with modern machinery and automatic control system from Denmark for uniform temperature & humidity, required for preservation of potatoes. This serves as major storehouse of the producers of potatoes of adjoining areas in an around 50 km radius of the storage. The capacity of storing is 13500 M.T. of potatoes per season & services are rendered to about 1100 producers / traders / business men.
In addition to the beneficiary we ourselves also produce & store quality potato seed for our Aman Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, field use & of the farmers.
